Identity Theft Causing Traffic Tickets/Violations
If you believe you have been the victim of identity theft because you are receiving notification of traffic violations in your name that you did not commit, you must contact the court where the violation occurred to request a hearing or contact the police office/jurisdiction that issued the citation.
The court must provide PennDOT with certified documentation that you are a wrongful defendant.
Upon receipt of the above documentation from the court, your driving record will be reviewed for possible correction and updated. All documents should be sent by the court to the following address:
