Special Fund Registration Plates

Wild Resource Conservation PlateHellbender Plate.png
The Wild Resource Conservation Fund registration plate became available in February 1999. This is the second Wild Resources Conservation Fund Plate and replaces the Saw-Whet Owl Plate which has been retired. Proceeds from this plate support the management of the Commonwealth's unique flora and fauna. To apply for this registration plate, please complete Form MV-911 (PDF), "Application for Special Fund Registration Plate."​

The Pennsylvania Zoological Council License Plate
The Pennsylvania Zoological Council Fund registration plate was first issued in April 1996. Proceeds from this registration plate benefit the Pennsylvania Zoological Council's six member zoos: the Philadelphia Zoo, the Pittsburgh Zoo, the Erie Zoo, the Elmwood Park Zoo in Norristown, the National Aviary in Pittsburgh and the Lehigh Valley Zoo. To apply for this registration plate, please complete Form MV-911 (PDF), "Application for Special Fund Registration Plate."

The Preserve Our Heritage License Plate
The Preserve Our Heritage registration plate became available in December 1998. Fifteen dollars from every "Preserve Our Heritage" registration plate sold will underwrite the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission's educational and exhibit programs. To apply for this registration plate, please complete Form MV-911 (PDF), “Application for Special Fund Registration Plate."

The Honoring Our Veteran License Plate
The Honoring Our Veterans registration plate became available on November 26, 2012. Fifteen dollars from every "Honoring Our Veterans" registration plate sold will benefit the Veterans Trust Fund. To apply for this registration plate, please complete Form MV-914 (PDF), "Application for Honoring Our Veterans Registration Plate."

Honoring Our Women Veterans license plate
The Honoring Our Women Veterans registration plate became available on February 21, 2019. Fifteen dollars from every "Honoring Our Women Veterans" registration plate sold will benefit the Veterans Trust Fund, which will be used for programs and resources that assist women veterans. To apply for this registration plate, please complete Form MV-914 (PDF), "Application for Honoring Our Veterans Registration Plate."

The Honoring our Veterans Motorcycle Plate
The Honoring Our Veterans motorcycle plate became available on October 6, 2015. Fifteen dollars from every "Honoring Our Veterans" plate sold will benefit the Veterans' Trust Fund. To apply for this registration plate, please complete Form MV-914 (PDF), "Application for Honoring Our Veterans Registration Plate."

The Pennsylvania Monument License Plate
The Pennsylvania Monuments registration plate became available on October 30, 2014. Proceeds from this plate go directly to the Veteran Trust Fund and will support the cleaning, repair and restoration of the Pennsylvania monuments by the Gettysburg National Military Park. To apply for this registration plate, please complete Form MV-911 (PDF), "Application for Special Fund Registration Plate."

The Share the Road License Plate
The Pennsylvania Share the Road registration plate became available on August 8, 2016. All proceeds from this plate will help fund the Department's Bicycle & Pedestrian safety efforts as well as highway infrastructure signage for bicyclists with the purpose of wayfinding and/or safety. To apply for this registration plate, please complete Form MV-917 (PDF), "Application for Share the Road Registration Plate."

The Dsitricated Driving Awareness License Plate
The Pennsylvania Distracted Driving Awareness registration plate became available on February 21, 2019. All proceeds from this plate shall be used exclusively to advance public education and outreach on the dangers posed by distracted driving. To apply for this registration plate, please complete Form MV-918 (PDF), "Application for Distracted Driving Awareness Plate."

The Dsitricated Driving Awareness Motorcycle Plate
The Pennsylvania Distracted Driving Awareness motorcycle registration plate became available on February 21, 2019. All proceeds from this plate shall be used exclusively to advance public education and outreach on the dangers posed by distracted driving. The Dsitricated Driving Awareness Motorcycle Plate
The Pollinator Habitat Fund Registration Plate became available to order on March 3, 2023. Twenty-five dollars from every Pollinator Conservation plate sold will be credited to the Pollinator Habitat Program Fund. The Pollinator Habitat Program Fund was established as a special fund in the State Treasury for the purpose of providing support for roadside pollinator initiative. Applicants for the registration plate must submit Form MV-911, "Application for Special Fund Registration Plate." This registration plate is available for passenger cars or trucks with a registered gross weight of not more than 14,000 pounds.

The Dsitricated Driving Awareness Motorcycle Plate

The USA Semiquincentennial registration plate became available on October 29, 2020, and will only be available until December 31, 2026. Twenty-five dollars from every USA Semiquincentennial plate sold will benefit the Pennsylvania Commission for the United States 
Semiquincentennial to help fund activities related to the Semiquincentennial. The plate design reflects the "Family of Plates" color scheme of blue, white and yellow. Pennsylvania is printed at the 
top and the words "Let Freedom Ring" are printed on the bottom. The plate depicts the image of the Liberty Bell with "1776-2026" above the image and the phrase "250 years" beneath the image. To apply for this registration plate, please complete Form MV-919 (PDF), "Application for USA Semiquincentennial Registration Plate." 

This registration plate is available for a motorcycle, a passenger car or a truck with a registered gross weight of not more than 14,000 pounds or a motor home. For the cost of the plate and current personalization fees, please refer to Form MV-70S (PDF), "The Bureau of Motor Vehicle Schedule of Fees."
